If you don't have others that you see and spend time with that are, or want to be prospectors, find experienced ones to keep in touch with. When I first started out 30 years ago, we were just beginning to hear about an information super highway that was comming. Well thank goodness it got here, and part of it is e-mail. Not only can we communicate instantly, but we can even do it with pictures. Only a few months ago a new organization called YUWIE.com came into being. It is similar to MySpace, and the members are even allowed to start and conduct their own clubs. While I've been writing, and building my websites, my wife Lynn (you saw her on the home page teaching a youngster how to pan) has built our yuwie site which includes a Gold Prospecting Club. Membership is FREE! In fact everything in yuwie is free, unless of course you buy something from one of their advertisers (which is never required). We already have hundreds of people that signed up as our friends, and we invite you, and any of your friends, to sign up FREE also when visiting our site. Our prospector members will be able to share their knowledge and experiences with other members, or ask questions. I know from many years of active club membership, that setting around a campfire and reliving prospecting experiences with others is almost as much fun as it was when it happened.
